about

In the year 2079 space travel began to be difficult because fuel resources on Earth were increasingly scarce. But two of the most important scientists on the planet, the biochemist Pabloner Peirovich and the molecular engineer Josecur Guerreroni, still had a free way to travel outside the Milky Way, especially to the planetary system of the star TRAPPIST-1, in the constellation Aquarius.

There they had been traveling for several years to be able to study the behavior and technology of the extraterrestrial beings that populated several of those planets, and with whom the human being had begun a peaceful relationship since they were discovered.

These two scientists were revolutionizing science with their studies and, among other experiments, one of the most important findings they discovered about aliens was their use of a playful but very strong and hallucinogenic drug that they called Masticalin, because it had to be chewed during a few minutes until it took effect.

Peirovich and Guerreroni, in addition to being scientists, were also passionate about music and always carried their instruments with them to entertain themselves during long space trips: old analog synthesizers, drum machines, electric basses, filters and effects pedals ... day, during their stay in the planetary system of TRAPPIST-1, experimenting with Masticalina in the presence of aliens, they decided to take their musical instruments to improvise to see what happened.

The result was so extremely funny, profound and surprising that the aliens themselves no longer wanted to do anything other than watch the scientists play their instruments under the effect of Masticalina and they began to organize concerts for the extraterrestrial public. They filled halls and auditoriums throughout the planetary system for months and audiotaped many of those performances. The aliens called this "musical group" LOS MASTICANTES.

When they returned to Earth some time later, they found a huge amount of recordings that they themselves did not know what to do with them, since humans were not prepared to hear something like that, something that only a drug like Masticalin could generate.

Still, they decided to deliver the recordings to the only record label that could be able to publish such germinated material in outer space under the influence of that drug. That label was Mascarpone Discos, whose tears fell at such psycho-aural power that in another constellation aliens called "music."

Mascarpone Discos publishes, to begin with, a first album with some of those recordings by Los Masticantes. And he will continue to publish more of these recordings in the future, uncovering those lysergic trips to the afterlife that could only be heard in the interstellar improvisations that Los Masticantes performed live.
